Stunning!

The wedding was so much perfection. So much love. A fantastic combination of decorum, sentiment, and overall loveliness. I'll discuss more after I've slept a titch.
Love you all!
Hope you get to catch a bit (or all) of the wedding!

The Queen's Scones

If you're still looking for something to snack on during the Royal Wedding, consider these yummy looking scones found on Smashed Peas and Carrots. Find the recipe and the fun story behind them here. She also has a Devonshire Cream recipe to top them off here.

Two of my favorite things...

A few of my favorite things combine in these Kate Middleton paper dolls. Weddings, Princess, and Disney! The soon to be Princess Catherine gets to try on the most famous Disney Princess gowns in preparation for her big day. Find them here!

Royal Wedding Carriage

Wouldn't it be fun to have this be your wedding getaway vehicle? Read more about it here.

For Your Royal Throne

Look at this lovely embroidered pillow! I think this would be a perfect way to keep a bit of the Royal Wedding fever going long after the big day! I'm considering getting the black and white mini version. They're both from Jan Constantine.

DIY Union Jack Tablecloth

Check out this fabulous Union Jack tablecloth tutorial from The Charm of Home! I think it'd be an easy way to bring a ton of color and character to your table on Friday.

Charitable Fund to Celebrate Royal Wedding

In lieu of the (sometimes ridiculous) wedding gifts frequently given to royal couples, Prince William and Catherine have asked that those wishing to give them a wedding gift donate to a charity fund benefiting charities they chose reflecting their interests and experiences. Learn more about it here. If you want to donate the site is here.

If you haven't found your prince charming...

The Queen Mother's Wedding Cake

The Royal Wedding Cake

I love the bit where she talks about the meanings of flowers to be included on the cake. Such a beautiful way to add sentiment to your cake!

Official Approval Given by the Queen

According to the Royal Marriages Act 1772, all descendants of King George II (that includes our dear Prince William) must get formal sanction from the current Sovereign before marrying. Lucky for Will and Kate, the queen gave her official approval. I thought getting my dad's approval was difficult, but this takes it to a pretty intense level. Read more about it here.

Royal Wedding Photographer

Meet the Royal Wedding photographer. His name is Hugo Burnand and he was Charles and Camilla's wedding photographer as well. Read more about him here.

Wedding Viewing Party Deserts

If you're intending to have that wedding viewing party, even if it's just you who's invited, you'll need some great themed food. Here are four fabulous recipes that I'm considering for that day's desert. Since they're from Betty Crocker's website, they're all simple to make and impressive to serve, which is just what we like to see in a party food.

If you'll be watching with your girlfriends- May I suggest these slightly silly Kate the Bride cupcakes. It'd be fun to have each guest decorate their own bride's dress with piping bags and see which one looks most like the real gown.

If you're watching during breakfast- Consider these light, flaky Palmiers. Sure they're a cookie, but they're just the right combo of pastry to make them alright for morning consumption just this once.

If you're watching with mixed age groups- Make these adorable engagement ring cupcakes. Everyone loves a cupcake and with the gorgeous addition of blue rock candy, they're as visually stunning as they are delicious.

If you're watching with you Mother in Law- Serve this jaw dropping Royal Blue Velvet cake. Who couldn't help but be impressed by this beauty?!

More Printables!

I love this set of printables from Tomkat Studio! Be sure to check out the large "Keep Calm and Marry On." I'm considering framing it as a gift to any and all newly engaged girlfriends. Find them here.

To go with the Tea Towel I assume?

If you want to see what the bride and groom would look like in a hot tub on their wedding day (creepy) you could get these fabulous tea bags. Find them and a few other ridiculous souvenirs here.

Royal Ring of Your Own

Wanting a rock worthy of royalty for yourself, but don't want to find a legitimate royal to buy it for you? Check out these three practically priced options that are sure to stun.

Our first option comes from Overstock.com. It's $29.99 and has great matching earrings available that would make it really pop. Find it here.
In my opinion your best looking option comes from QVC's Diamonique ling. At $54.60, it carries the biggest price tag of the three, but boasts the most realistic looking center stone by far. Find the listing here.

Our third option doesn't have a picture, but is easily the most practical option and was actually quite beautiful. Walmart (at least my local one) is currently carrying a fashion ring in store only that is a fantastic knock-off of the royal ring. I believe it cost around $12 and it looked really great on. As a bonus, you'll have it in time for all of the royal wedding festivities which is just so appropriate.

The Engagement Ring

Don't you just love that Prince William's bride-to-be is wearing Princess Diana's ring? He said, "It's my mother's engagement ring and it's very special to me, as Kate is very special to me now as well. It was only right the two were put together." What a sweetheart!
Read (or watch) more about the story here.

It's Royal Wedding Week!

Will and Kate are tying the knot on Friday and it seems like the whole world is going crazy about it. Let's not lie here, I run a wedding blog, you know I'm pretty psyched too. This week we'll be having multiple posts every day all centered around this fantastic royal event. Get excited!

Green Tourmaline and Diamond Ring

Most brides want to stand out from the crowd, be unique, show their true colors. Ringed in diamonds and with a perfectly designed matching wedding band, this gorgeous green stone sets itself apart for under $1ooo. Find the listing here.

Ribbon-Weave Tabletop

I love the unlimited options this ribbon-weave tabletop idea opens up! Each table could be different using all the colors from the pallet you've selected for your event. It's a great update of the traditional table runner concept and it would be fairly inexpensive if done carefully (keep in mind that the dollar store often carries satin ribbons like this). Photo seen here from Martha Stewart Weddings.

Layered Felt Flower Bouquet

Here's another great look for bridal bouquets made of felt. This tutorial is brought to you by That Jolie Girl and features some great customizing options with multiple colors, embroidery, and accenting with beads and buttons. Be sure to look at the gorgeous flower representing her grandmother, a very sentimental way to remember a loved one. Find the tutorial and all her great tips here.

Felt Heart Bouquet

How cute is this bridal bouquet?! I love it! It's sweet, it'll make a great keepsake, and it cost under $10. You just can't beat that! I'm guessing you could outfit your whole bridal party (your bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnieres, etc) for under $25. Find the whole tutorial with great step by step photos here at La Belle Bride.

Doily Chargers/Place Cards

If you're having a formal dinner reception or wedding luncheon, take a look at this brilliant idea from Martha Stewart Weddings. Using 12 inch doilies (which are inexpensive and easy to find) as both a charger and a place card adds a sweet simplicity to your table setting. If you don't want assigned seating, consider writing lovely quotes or song lyrics that mean something to you and your groom. Find this idea and a round-up of other table setting ideas here.

Something Blue Dress Label

As we all know by now, I'm a big fan of personalizing your big day, but I also love traditions. There's just something about doing the things that brides have been doing for generations before you. If you're intending to carry the "Something borrowed, something blue..." consider this sweet tag from Embroidery by Linda. Fully customized with your monogram, wedding date, and the choice of white or ivory to match your gown, this sew-in label will turn your dress into a time capsule of your wedding day. Find the label here.

Lace Heart Garland

This is such a delicate and romantic look! I think this gorgeous lace heart garland from Michele Made Me would make stunning reception or ceremony decor, but it might be a bit labor intensive for that. I'm seeing it along the aisle at a ceremony, ringing a sweetheart table at your luncheon or reception, or as backdrop for photos or your receiving line. Find the step by step tutorial (with photos thank you very much) here.
